A Journey Into Design and Interior Styling
Cassandre Fusari Interview: First things first, Cassandre tell us about your journey and what led you to found KS Studio Design?
My journey has been somewhat unconventional. Graduated in Finance, I started my career in the Banking industry before finding my true calling in interior design. I absolutely love being in my home, I am a homebody person.
To me, a home is a sanctuary – a place to reconnect, to create memories and be inspired. It’s where our dreams take shape. In my home, everything tells a story. A decorative object, the mood of a room, the scent of an aromatic plant – they are all little madeleines de Proust that make the spaces come alive.
As more and more people appreciated what I had created, the idea of founding KS Studio Design naturally came to life – a way to share my world.

Mediterranean Living as Inspiration
Cassandre Fusari Interview: How does Mediterranean life influence your work as a designer?
I’m a Mediterranean at heart. I grew up surrounded by a culture rooted in simplicity— an invitation to slow down and truly living in the moment.
Living near the Mediterranean shapes everything. First, there is the light. It changes constantly during the day and transforms the atmosphere of a space.
Then there is the lifestyle itself. Mediterranean life encourages simplicity and openness. People spend time outdoors, cook with fresh ingredients, and gather with friends.
As a result, I try to design interiors that feel relaxed and connected to nature. Natural materials, open spaces, and soft colors help create this feeling.
My design decisions are not trend-driven but based on my vision of Home – spaces shaped by a visual dialogue between past and present.

Designing Homes Where Life Happens
Cassandre Fusari Interview: How do you approach designing a home that truly reflects everyday life?
Above all, I believe a home should feel comfortable and welcoming. It should never feel staged.
Take my own home, for example: my dogs run freely through the garden and then comes inside to sprawl out on a white sheepskin rug.
People should feel free to sit anywhere, cook together, or gather around a table. Therefore, I design spaces that encourage these moments.
For example, I often create large tables or relaxed living areas. These spaces naturally invite conversation and connection.
Objects also matter. Books, ceramics, textiles, and personal items help create a sense of life inside the home.

The Beauty of Imperfection
Cassandre Fusari Interview: Many of your interiors embrace imperfections and natural patina. Why is that important?
Perfection can sometimes feel sterile. In contrast, imperfections bring warmth and personality.
A slightly worn wooden table or a handmade ceramic bowl carries history. These objects show the passage of time. Therefore, they create emotional connections inside the home.
I believe interiors should evolve with the people who live there. Over time, marks, textures, and memories become part of the space.
Through my work, I create spaces that feel lived-in, intimate, and full of soul that reflect personal and happy memories where vintage pieces naturally find their place.
KS Studio Design creates a home where you can truly unwind, switch off from the pressure of the outside world, and feel at ease. Craftsmanship & Raw Materials
Cassandre Fusari Interview: Your Mediterranean roots emphasize the value of craftsmanship. Why is this su h a fundamental element in your work ?
I see craft as a dedication to heritage and attention to detail. It is about creating personalized experiences with passion and a client-centric approach that redefines luxury.
For me, materials are the starting point of any project. I love wood, stone, linen, and handmade ceramics. These materials bring warmth and authenticity to a space. c
Moreover, they age beautifully. Over time, they develop a patina that tells the story of the home. In contrast, overly perfect materials often feel cold and impersonal.
Craftsmanship also plays a major role in my work. I enjoy collaborating with artisans whenever possible. Their knowledge and gestures bring something unique to each project.

The Creative Process
Cassandre Fusari Interview: Where do you draw your inspiration from ?
My phone is basically my photo notebook. Whenever I’m out and something stops me in my tracks—a breathtaking sunset, the way autumn colors melt into each other, a beautifully set dining table — I snap a photo.
I love going back to those images to break them down, look at every detail, and figure out what makes the whole scene feel so magical. That’s the kind of thing that sparks my creativity.
